The books subtitle states, (The most comprehensive book on UFOlogy ever written), some would disagree, but it would need to be some book that got all the major UFO events world wide in one book. John's book has a good old try and is not that disappointing. Yes we've all seen these encyclopaedia type UFO books before (quite a lot from British authors) , but I admit, John packs a fair amount of cases in his. So what do we get? Well it's no surprise to learn that we get UFO Abductions, Earth lights, Government cover ups, and information on the many noted UFO Investigators and UFO witnesses. Lots of UFOlogys noted cases are featured here.

The events at Gulf Breeze for instance, the strange lights at Hessdalen in Norway, (I remember a few years back some colleagues and I got Odd Gunner Roed, a noted Norwegian UFOlogist slightly merry on alcohol in which he proceeded to heavily discuss the events at Hessdalen, his discussion also featured photographs showing the many strange light forms seen in the sky above Hessdalen. Extraterrestrial craft? Or more to do with as yet unexplained Earth lights? Who knows!)?

Like I say, this book is heavy on facts, figures, and strange experiences. Books like these make me wonder if we'll still be seeing UFO ENCYCLOPAEDIA'S in years to come. Seasoned UFOlogists may well steer clear of similar books, but like I've said many times before, we have a new breed of UFOlogist out there, youngsters who don't as yet know the true UFO history, (Which is plenty I can tell you!), and so books like this will do them the world of good, and will surely introduce them into the ever growing reality, that UFOs deserve to be recognized and understood.

John Spencer is a noted author, and I dearly hope to see further books from John, not UFO encyclopaedias but on cases within the British Isles, which build upon this important book. I'm sure we've not heard the last from John and this book, which incidentally was originally printed in 1991, is one of those books that any serious student of Ufology should have. A good one then John, what's next on the agenda?
